Laura Bain

Laura Bain, owner of Body Align Pilates, is a Stott Pilates Certified instructor with over 20 years experience.  Laura specializes in customized programming for a variety of individuals.  Laura has a wide range of experience in working with athletes, dancers, active aging populations, special populations and post rehabilitative clients including hip, back, shoulder and knee conditions.

Laura’s work shows great clarity in using precise techniques per client.  She is respected for her caring approach, attention to detail and well-trained eye.  She is well known for her innovative, organized, efficient, compassionate and energetic teaching style that is always concise for safety.

Laura is deeply committed to and passionate about her continuing education.  She has travelled locally and internationally to keep up with the latest in Stott Pilates advancements.  Laura is also an alumni of FAMI (Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries) NYC- where movement meets medicine.

The Body Align Pilates studio is fully equipped with the latest Stott Pilates equipment including the V2 Max Reformer (which incorporates the Reformer, Cadillac and V2 Max) the Stability Chair, Arc Barrel, Barre as well as other small equipment including, stability cushions, balancing pads, foam rollers, weights, mini stability balls, flex bands, and fitness circles.

In addition to spending time with her family and friends, other passions include playing tennis, cooking, travelling and photography.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University.
